The Celerity 20 STEAM Biological Indicator (BI) is a fast read 20-minute BI used for routine monitoring, qualification testing, load monitoring and product testing of commonly used steam sterilization cycles.
How the Celerity 20 STEAM Biological Indicator Works
After a steam sterilization cycle, the color changing process indicator on the vial cap will provide immediate proof of exposure in the autoclave. The BI is activated using an easy twist and flick motion, reducing the potential of contamination from “over activated” vials and eliminating need of a second activator. The biological indicator is then incubated using the Celerity STEAM Incubator for just 20 minutes.
